After plenty of teasing and leaks, Amazon and Bethesda have released the first official trailer for the next season of the Fallout live-action TV show. And folks, things look wild this time around, with plenty of references to the games and the return of fan favorites from season one, like Lucy and the Ghoul.
Fallout season two arrives on Amazon Prime on December 17. Here’s the full season two trailer:
Last year’s Fallout TV show became a massive hit for Amazon, and for good reason. The live-action adaptation of the post-apocalyptic franchise starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins felt faithful to the games while also doing its own thing. The show’s first season introduced us to Purnell as Lucy, a young woman living in a peaceful Vault underground, who leaves to find her father and ends up discovering a lot more about him, the world outside the Vault, and what’s left up there. Along the way, she encounters Moten’s Maximus, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel who is trying to figure out his place in all of this, and Goggins’ scene-stealing Ghoul, a zombie-like man who has been around since before the bombs dropped and has some deep connections to the past world.
Fallout season two seems to pick up roughly where season one left off, with Lucy and the Ghoul now working together to track down her father, who isn’t quite the innocent man she thought he was. He’s fled to New Vegas, an iconic location from the games, and it seems the rest of our season one characters will be following.
In the new trailer, we get a better look at the city, as well as a nasty Deathclaw, a Radscorpion, the enigmatic Mr. House, NCR armor, and what looks like some ghoulified Kings members. It’s a weird world out there, but it looks like a blast. I can’t wait to watch season two when it arrives on Amazon Prime next month. The series has already been picked up for a third season.
