Shout Factory recently discontinued one of its best horror movie box sets, but there’s still time to add it to your collection before it’s gone for good. Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition is back in stock at Amazon with a huge 34% discount that drops the price to $105.34 (was $160). Released in 2020 to rave reviews from fans and critics, this 16-disc Blu-ray box set is the only Friday the 13th collection with all 12 movies. With Amazon’s deal, you’re paying $8.75 per movie, and that’s without factoring in the mountain of special features, premium display case, and collector’s booklet.
During Amazon’s Halloween horror sale, this box set was discounted to $124 and sold out fast. The $105.34 price is the lowest we’ve seen in years. And since Shout Factory is no longer printing the collection, Amazon’s current deal is also probably the last. Take a closer look at Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition below.

$105.34 (was $160)
Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition is a 1080p Blu-ray box set compiling every movie in the iconic horror franchise. The classic eight-film story arc–the 1980 original through 1989’s Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan–is joined by the divisive Jason Goes to Hell (1993) and Jason X (2002), the Nightmare on Elm Street crossover film Freddy vs. Jason, and the 2009 reboot.
Unlike many large box sets, each movie has its own traditional Blu-ray case with reversible cover art. There are 13 cases in all, since the two bonus material discs have a case of their own. The movies and the 40-page booklet featuring essays and production photography are packaged inside the durable slipcase shown above. The slipcase has exclusive artwork by Devon Whitehead on all sides.
The first four movies in the collection are based on Shout Factory’s new (at the time) 4K restorations. Shout Factory also restored the mono/stereo audio tracks for the first seven films in the series. The original movie has two discs, one with the restored audio, another with the original sound. Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X received new 2K scan based on the interpositives.
If you’re a big fan of the series, the treasure trove of special features is worth the price of admission alone. Along with all of the archival content from earlier Blu-ray and DVD releases, this set comes with a bunch of new audio commentaries featuring the cast and crew. It also has new audio commentaries led by other filmmakers who were influenced by the franchise. You’ll also find new behind-the-scenes featurettes, making-of documentaries, and interviews. There are so many special features that the final two discs in the box set are loaded with even more of them.

When Shout Factory’s 12-film box set sells out, fans will still have a few Friday the 13th collections to choose from. Paramount’s Friday the 13th 8-Movie Steelbook Collection is available for only $38 at Amazon. This budget-friendly collection was reissued earlier this month (November 11)–the timing probably isn’t a coincidence–after being sold out since last holiday season. It comes with Blu-ray and digital editions of the classic Friday the 13th story arc.
All six discs are packaged in the single steelbook case shown above. The remastered versions of the first four movies in the classic series are included in this collection, too. The remasters get their own discs, but back half of the classic series is pressed onto two discs. This collection doesn’t come with nearly as many special features, but you’re getting eight movies on Blu-ray and digital, a nice steelbook case, and eight art cards for $38. The 8-Movie Steelbook Collection is undoubtedly a bargain. It originally released in 202
The Steelbook Collection is actually cheaper than the standard version without the collectible case and art cards. The DVD box set is up for grabs for only $22.
