If you can’t make it to the Computer History Museum near Mountain View, California you can now view at least some of their collection online. It’s not quite the same as seeing these museum pieces in person, but then again they don’t let you play with them when you visit so you aren’t missing too much in the way of hands on experiences.
The online version of the Computer History Museum is running on modern hardware, so you won’t have to watch the pictures load line by line, which is nice. You can also view old hardware from collections around the planet with OpenCHM, go through curated collections or just browse through everything on your own.
