Honor and BYD have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at redefining the future of connected mobility. The collaboration brings together Honor’s AI-powered connectivity solutions and BYD’s DiLink intelligent ecosystem to create seamless integration between smartphones and vehicles. By combining their expertise in smart devices and new-energy vehicles, the two companies plan to develop human-centric, AI-enabled mobility experiences that enhance how users interact with technology on the move.
Honor-BYD partnership: What to expect?
The Honor-BYD partnership is structured around three main areas of development. The first focuses on technology and innovation, including cross-device ecosystem integration, AI agent development, and a high-precision Bluetooth car key system.
The second pillar revolves around building a shared channel ecosystem that maximises compatibility between Honor’s connected technology and BYD’s vehicle platform, enabling smooth interoperability.
The final aspect involves collaborative marketing, launches, and user engagement activities that will highlight the results of this joint effort.
The agreement was formalized at a ceremony attended by Honor CEO James Li and BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu, along with executives Fang Fei and Yang Dongsheng. Both companies described the partnership as a long-term commitment to advancing intelligent mobility.
This partnership builds upon earlier collaborations between the two brands. In 2023, they introduced smartphone-based NFC car keys for BYD owners, followed by in-vehicle fast charging support for Honor devices in 2024. Most recently, BYD’s Denza brand adopted the Honor Car Connect platform, allowing users to experience continuous connectivity between phones and vehicles.
The results of the Honor-BYD collaboration will be showcased at the upcoming Honor Global Developers Conference and AI Device Ecosystem Conference, where the Honor AI Connect platform will take centre stage.
