LEGO Offloads Minecraft Sets, the Creeper Is Selling for Pennies on the Dollar

LEGO Minecraft has become one of the brand’s most beloved collections across all age groups and brings the blocky digital universe into the physical world with stunning detail. Right now, Amazon has dropped an early Black Friday deal on the Lego Minecraft The Creeper building set, slashing it down to just $31 from its usual $39 price tag. This marks an all-time low for this iconic mob figure that launched in June 2025 and it’s the perfect opportunity to snag a premium building experience at a fraction of the cost.

Building Your Own Minecraft Nightmare Just Got Affordable

The engineering that went into this Creeper figure provides great articulation: each of the four legs can be moved independently. You are able to position the mob in a different stance that captures the menacing presence from the game. The head articulates in multiple directions: it not only can tilt up and down but also swivels from side to side, giving you full control over the Creeper’s expression and attitude: That makes this set really transform from some sort of static display into an interactive figure that you can adjust at will, whenever the mood strikes.

But the real surprise lives inside the Creeper’s detachable head: LEGO included a hidden compartment that stores a special first-version Creeper mini-figure alongside a TNT element and pays homage to the mob’s explosive reputation in Minecraft. In fact, that first-version mini-figure actually refers to an obscure piece of Minecraft history: when creator Notch created a malformed pig accidentally during early development, that mistake evolved into the Creeper we know today. It’s an Easter egg that will delight hardcore fans who appreciate the deep lore behind one of gaming’s most recognizable enemies.

This set contains 665 pieces, mostly small tiles which are used to build a Creeper that is as close to pixel-perfect as one could imagine. It takes approximately 50 minutes to build, with large identical sections being made that stack into the body. For some, this might be a bit monotonous to build because much of it is similar sections, but again, the end justifies the means in this creation of the in-game design. The smaller tile pieces create a smooth surface that captures Minecraft’s distinctive blocky aesthetic without some of the gaps and imperfections found in traditional brick construction.

The size of this Creeper outclasses every other LEGO Minecraft mob figure in the collection by far: It stands over 8 inches tall and is twice as big as any of the previous upscaled creature figures that come out of the line. This will create an outstanding focal point in your game room or bedroom, especially if combined with smaller Minecraft sets that can surround it in some form of dynamic display arrangement.

This Creeper serves dual purposes, both as a building project and room decor. Once assembled, it becomes a conversation piece that instantly signals your gaming interests to anyone who enters your space. It looks equally at home, menacing other LEGO Minecraft builds in an action scene or standing sentinel on a shelf above your gaming setup.

For its price point of $31, this is a great value given both the piece count and the quality of the finished model. Most LEGO sets in this price range have fewer pieces or less intricate designs, but this Creeper delivers on both quantity and complexity. Amazon’s early Black Friday discount turns this already reasonable set into a must-grab opportunity for Minecraft fans of all ages.
