One Of Several MSI Project Zero Reviews Found In This Post
The FPS Review has been given the chance to check out a number of MSI Project Zero products, including two B850 boards, an X870E board, an RTX 5070 Ti and the MAG PANO 100R PZ Gaming Case. You can find the other B850 board just below the fold, this particular review looks at the case and the B850 GAMING PLUS WiFi PZ motherboard. A quick examination of the picture above should give you a good idea what MSI Project Zero is all about.
If you didn’t spot it right away, it’s the lack of any connectors visible on the board from the ATX 24 pin power connection to the header to connect the front panel. You will find those as well as fan headers, RGB headers and everything else on the back of the board, making your wiring all but invisible. The performance is on par with other B850 boards, as changing the power connectors to the rear has no effect on performance.
In order to take full advantage of the options that the MSI Project Zero offers you will need a case that gives you the room to install all your wiring, barring a non-MSI Project Zero GPU, behind the motherboard. The MAG PANO 100R PZ case has a large cutout behind the motherboard which lets you do exactly that, as is the positioning of the PSU which is mounted on it’s side about half way up the case.
