Winter 2026 roared to an end in southern Alaska as parts of the coast saw below-normal temperatures and bouts of moderate to heavy snow. Viewed from above, the region’s atmospheric instability was apparent in the striking display of cloud formations just offshore.  A NASA satellite captured this image of the clouds on March 19, 2026, the final day of astronomical winter. According to a NOAA weather briefing, low pressure over the Gulf of Alaska that day combined with high pressure over eastern Russia and northern Alaska, causing cold Arctic air to pour southeast over the Alaska Peninsula.   The setup led…

People are still asking Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick about how much Grand Theft Auto VI will cost, and he’s still responding elusively to avoid saying an exact price. Both of these tactics are understandable. Zelnick is not going to say nor hint at how much GTA 6 is going to be until the price is formally revealed. But anyone interviewing him looks ridiculous if they don’t ask. So here we are. IGN was present at iicon and reported on Zelnick’s response to a question about GTA 6 pricing during an on-stage interview. As expected, Zelnick stayed far away from confirming…

YouTube TV has rolled out custom multiview for subscribers. This has long been a key selling point for sports, but now the feature will work across all channels. Subscribers can even mix-and-match across packages, which includes stuff like NFL Sunday Ticket. That means users can set up their own fully customizable screens that display whatever they want, from football games to the weather and that latest episode of a CBS procedural. The company began testing this a few years back, so we’ve been waiting a while for a true multiview option on the platform…

Motorola While we aren’t expecting new foldable phones from Samsung and Google until later this summer and fall, Motorola is getting the ball rolling early with an updated portfolio of bendy Razr handsets, including its first book-style foldable. The system prompt for OpenAI’s Codex CLI contains a perplexing and repeated warning for the most recent GPT model to “never talk about goblins, gremlins, raccoons, trolls, ogres, pigeons, or other animals or creatures unless it is absolutely and unambiguously relevant to the user’s query.” The explicit operational warning was made public last week as part of the latest open source code for Codex CLI that OpenAI posted on GitHub. The prohibition is repeated twice in a 3,500-plus word set of “base instructions” for the recently released GPT-5.5, alongside more anodyne reminders not to “use emojis or em dashes unless…

Divine Remember Vine? The short-form video app from back when people were sharing creative things just for fun and not primarily to maximize engagement and make more money? Divine — a rebooted version of the app with no affiliation to Vine, Twitter or X — is now available for iOS and Android. As with Vine, users create and share looping videos with a maximum…

The force of a pumping heart changes how cancer cells function, halting their ability to multiply and spread, a new study shows. The finding may help to explain why heart cancer is so rare, occurring in fewer than 2 in 100,000 people per year.A protein called Nesprin-2 is key to this phenomenon. Found in the outer membrane of a cell’s nucleus, the protein was already known to sense and respond to mechanical forces. Now, Nesprin-2 has been found to sense the force of heartbeats and stop cancerous cells from multiplying. You may like In addition to offering a possible explanation for…
