The Fitbit Air is Google’s newest and smallest tracker ever, a screenless little pod that costs $99, launches today, and promises to just disappear on your wrist. I wore it nonstop for two weeks, through workouts, showers, and sleep, while a few months deep into getting serious about my own health, to find out if “disappearing” is a feature or a flaw.A tracker with no screen, and that is the whole pointSo here’s the first thing you have to wrap your head around: there’s no display on this thing at all. It’s a tiny pod that sits on your wrist…

Kenjiro Tsuda, the Japanese voice actor behind some of modern anime’s most famous characters including Yu-Gi-Oh’s Seto Kaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen’s Kento Nanami, and My Hero Academia’s Overhaul, has filed a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court against the social media and video platform TikTok, alleging that 188 videos featuring an AI-generated recreation of his voice have been posted to the platform since July 2024. As spotted by The Yomiuri Shimbun (via Automaton), Tsuda filed the suit back in November 2025, but the litigation wasn’t publicly reported on until May 23. According to the actor’s legal team, roughly 188 videos featuring…

Other Great Packing CubesPhotograph: Kat MerckShacke Pak Packing Cubes for $30 (set of 8): These were pretty good quality for an Amazon brand; there’s a sturdy handle and the material is slightly thicker than other packing cubes at this price point. I like the mix of mesh for breathability and opaque fabric for privacy. They come in nine colors, but the colors are clownishly bright (blue pictured above), and the four-paneled mesh design reminds me of a jock strap. Shacke says it uses YKK zippers on all its packing cubes, but I peeled back the covering on the zipper and…

I’ll always be a defender of the compact phone form factor, even though I rock a 6.82-inch one. It seems that many of the best Android phones are headed towards the 7-inch standard and that’s no good. That’s an uncool future to be part of: some people simply can’t deal with larger phones. Yet, of the upcoming Pixel 11 family, the largest one is the most desired one. It’s your votes that say so The Pixel 11 lineup will be with us soon. | Image by Android Headlines My claims are based on your votes in a recent PhoneArena poll titled “Which…

I’m drinking more water, grilling, planning my first trip to a pool, and starting to run the air conditioner. Memorial Day is over, and the Summer Vibes are here. It’s a time of the year when sometimes I want to be outside, but the heat keeps me in. But with one of this month’s free PS Plus games, the Xbox-published Grounded, I can experience my backyard in the cool comforts of my home office. On May 26, PlayStation revealed February’s monthly games, which will be available to all PS Plus subscribers across all tiers. These games will be available to…

What could they do that they’re not doing?I mean, look, I think the silly idea is to activate and drop a lot of Starlink terminals on Iran. Well, that’d be fun. I would support a contract, you know, a US government contract to do that, because it would cost less than a couple of these missiles. And we own the airspace at this point. You know, they don’t have air defenses. I think every cell phone, every smartphone produced after 2020 or 2021 has the ability to connect to satellite internet. It requires flipping switches. To do that, we require an…

For quite some time now, Amazon has had a sweet deal on the Galaxy Tab S10+, which I think might tickle your fancy, especially if you’ve been thinking about getting a 12.4-inch powerhouse and missed my initial post. The offer is for the 256GB version in Moonstone Gray, which is currently selling for $200 off. That means you can get one of the best tablets on the market for just south of $800, which I find to be a reasonable price for all the value this thing brings to the table. Galaxy Tab S10+ 256GB, Silver: Save $200 on Amazon! $200…

Nearly half of Americans say they use AI to find information and generate ideas. It’s not hard to see why. As social media devolves into slop—and Google into a glorified landing page for Reddit threads and content farms—most of us are starved for something reliable. Plus, chatbots are so helpful, aren’t they? The first time I interacted with one, I asked if it knew it was a huge drain on resources. Half an hour later, I had a new recipe for vegan cream cheese.I never tried the recipe. Instead, I found a human-created one that the LLM might have scraped.…

I spent a rather embarrassing amount of time trying to match up Running Train‘s hyper-realistic train lines and Japanese terrain with the real world. And in doing so, I paid the game the highest possible compliment. This extraordinarily realistic sim made by one-person development team Novatetsu Games is in fact set in a fictional region of Japan, but is created so lovingly that you’ll believe it’s real life. © Novatetsu Games / Kotaku I’m not exactly a train enthusiast, nor indeed particularly au fait with the range of train sim games previously available, but in Running Train I’ve found something absolutely…
