Near the end of last month, we listed the Pixel phones that will receive Android 17 this summer. As we pointed out in that story, this year will be the last one where all Pixels powered by a Tensor application processor (AP) get the new Android update. That’s because this October, Google will drop support for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6a will lose its Google support in July 2027.Last month we asked you which of these Pixel models was your favoriteWhen we posted the article that included the list, we asked you to choose your…

For me, one of the best surprises at today’s Xbox showcase was the game Vivarium, a new slice-of-life game that looks like a gorgeous early ’90s anime. This is so dang cute! From what I can piece together here, this is a game about a world condensed inside an abandoned terrarium, and in that world lives a child named Jenny in a rural town filled with nature. Jenny does a lot of exploring in and around the town, and finds a tree sprout that she’s hoping will grow quickly. There are adorable anthropomorphic animal townspeople, seemingly some sort of farming…

I’m learning Laravel for my full-time job, and I’ve found that the best way I retain things is by building something real while I’m still figuring it out. Not a polished side project. Not a “look what I made” showcase. Just me, a terminal, and a lot of “wait, why did that work?” This is one of those articles. The project is a Task Management API, a simple backend that can create, read, update, and delete tasks. No frontend. No authentication (yet). Just a clean JSON API that taught me more about Laravel’s core concepts than any documentation page ever…

We asked you a simple question after Samsung confirmed it would kill Samsung Messages on July 6, 2026 and push everyone toward Google Messages. With the old app on its way out, what matters most in the one you are stuck with? Your answer caught us off guard. When we made the case for the switch, we leaned hard on reliability. Rock-solid RCS, real cross-device texting, the stuff that beats a folder system every day of the week. We figured that is what you would rank first too.You had other priorities. Reliable RCS, with read receipts and reactions, is the part…

Which Microsoft first-party games will be Xbox console exclusives? Which ones will eventually come to PlayStation 5? More than two years into this unprecedented experiment, it’s harder to know than ever. The company revealed during its big summer showcase on June 7 that Gears of War: E-Day will not come to PS5 after all, despite a port of the game reportedly already existing on a drive somewhere at The Coalition’s offices. Clockwork Revolution, an upcoming RPG from inXile Entertainment which Microsoft acquired in 2018, will be an Xbox console exclusive as well. But Fable is still coming to PS5. And…

Key Takeaways AI teams produce three categories of reusable assets throughout every project: datasets, trained models, and label schemas. Without lifecycle management, these assets degrade, diverge, or get duplicated across teams. A structured 4-stage lifecycle (Create, Version, Deploy, Retire) maps directly to the data-centric AI workflow and prevents the “retrain from scratch” problem that costs organizations an average of 60 to 80 percent of total ML project time. Dataset versioning is not the same as code versioning. Label schema changes, annotation corrections, and data augmentations all require their own lineage tracking, and most Git-based workflows cannot handle this natively. The…

The new Siri that is supposed to make your iPhone 17 Pro Max feel less embarrassing next to a Pixel 10 Pro almost didn’t get a clear owner at all. Before any of the reorganization news you have already read about, there was one meeting where Apple’s most powerful executives sat in a single room and argued over who should be trusted to clean up the company’s AI mess. We now know how tense that room got.The account comes from Bloomberg’s lead Apple reporter Mark Gurman, in his latest Power On newsletter. What happened in that room The contextual, cross-app Siri…
