Polar has released the Grit X2 smartwatch in the US, about four months after its launch in Europe. The Grit X2 is a more affordable version of the Grit X2 Pro, offering nearly the same features but at a lower price.

Polar Grit X2 features
The Grit X2 has a 1.28-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 416×416 resolution and sapphire glass protection. It supports an always-on display and automatic brightness adjustment. The watch includes dual-frequency GPS and works with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS satellite systems. It also provides turn-by-turn navigation through Komoot and supports offline maps with 32GB of internal storage.
The watch uses Polar’s Elixir sensor platform, allowing ECG readings, blood oxygen monitoring, skin temperature tracking, and Gen 4 optical heart rate sensing. It also has a barometer, compass, accelerometer, and gyroscope for accurate motion and environment tracking.
Power comes from a 310mAh battery that lasts up to 30 hours in performance training mode, 90 hours in eco mode, and up to 7 days with normal use. It runs on a 275MHz processor with 37MB of memory and connects through Bluetooth 5.1. Charging is done using a proprietary USB-C cable.
The Grit X2 supports smartphone notifications, music control, and Polar’s training and recovery tools. These include FitSpark training guidance, Recovery Pro, FuelWise nutrition reminders, and wrist-based running power. For sleep tracking, it offers Nightly Recharge, Sleep Plus Stages, and SleepWise.
Pricing & availability
The Polar Grit X2 is available in one 44.7 mm size and comes in Night Black. It is priced at $799.99 in US. In Europe, the watch was launched for €480.
