Adult film star Willow Ryder didn’t immediately recognize the man who entered the Miami party she was at earlier this month, but she knew he wasn’t part of the sex work industry. He had an entourage and what appeared to be a hulking bodyguard. Her friends told her it was Clavicular, aka Braden Peters, a popular Kick livestreamer known for “looksmaxxing,” or resorting to extreme measures to improve his appearance.Ryder says she didn’t know exactly who Clavicular was or what he talked about on his stream, but she knew that he had a massive following. And as a content creator herself,…
Last year, $1,000 for a new PC gaming handheld felt like an incredibly tough sell. It might be a bargain-bin price by the time 2026 is done. Also, Call of Duty makes another promise to tamp down on silly skins, and there probably won’t be any time for The Witcher 4 to get massive expansions. It’s Kotaku‘s Checkpoint roundup for May 29 where, unlike some tech billionaires, we are not planning to flee the country any time soon. Meet the MSI Claw 8 EX AI Plus, portable PC gaming’s latest big boy Hell of a name, right? It’s the newest…
You’d expect a pricey flagship to always run newer hardware than a cheap phone. However, MediaTek’s newest chip just poked a hole in that idea. What MediaTek just put on the tableMediaTek has officially launched the Dimensity 7500, a 4nm processor built for mid-range and budget phones. The big detail is that it brings Arm’s newest C1 CPU cores to cheaper handsets for the first time.Past budget chips were stuck on cores that felt ancient, so this is a real architectural jump. What the Dimensity 7500 offersMediaTek says those cores mean faster app switching and quicker installs. The more interesting part is…
Earlier this month, WIRED published an excerpt from Steve Rosenbaum’s buzzy new book, The Future of Truth, which looks at how artificial intelligence warps people’s sense of reality. Shortly thereafter, The New York Times reported that the book contained over a half-dozen made-up or misattributed quotes. In a statement, Rosenbaum, who has a master’s degree in “truth” from New York University, admitted that he had accidentally included “a handful” of “improperly attributed or synthetic” quotes. In an ironic twist, the veracity of a book about how AI impacts truth was now under intense scrutiny because of how its author had…
Xbox has announced it is delaying its upcoming Fable reboot into February of 2027, allegedly to make room for all its other games. In a post on social media, the official Xbox account cited Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Control Resonant, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Grand Theft Auto 6 as major releases throughout 2026. It’s perhaps worth noting that Halo, Gears, and Call of Duty do not have release dates yet and Xbox is in full control of when those come out. Control, a third-party game, also doesn’t have a release…
Even before release, the rumored foldable iPhone Ultra is already the iPhone of the year. And that’s not just because Samsung and other Android makers have decided to imitate its design. No, sir. There’s just something special about a foldable phone arriving exactly seven years late to the party. If you are an iOS loyalist who has been holding out for a bendy screen, there’s plenty to be excited about. The opposite is true if you were hoping for a major shake-up with the iPhone 18 Pro.Where have I seen this before? iPhone 18 Pro dummy units. | Image by…
We all know next-generation consoles are in the works. Yes, we’re six years into the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, largely due to component shortages and cost spikes from AI demands on the wider tech sector, but Sony has already teased a “future console” in the next few years, and Microsoft confirmed the next Xbox is codenamed Project Helix, likely due in 2028.Gamers can probably expect all of the standard customary upgrades—faster processors, more powerful GPUs, more storage, all if component supplies and manufacturing capacities allow for them. But there’s one feature both Sony and Microsoft absolutely must keep,…
Integrated Media Company owns GameSpot, Fandom, Curse, Screen Junkies, and a number of other media and entertainment brands Integrated Media Company, the parent company of GameSpot, Fandom, Curse, and a number of other brands, is preparing to acquire Playstack, the publisher of Balatro. Motorola has just unleashed its 2026 Motorola Razr family on us and it’s beautifully designed as always, but not so rich on upgrades.Think of 2026 as a refreshment for the series rather than a massive upgrade.Which one should you choose?Motorola Razr (2026): The base Motorola flip phone starts at $800 and has a slightly smaller outer screen (3.6-inch vs 4-inch on the others) and a mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 7450X processor coupled with 8GB of RAM.Motorola Razr Plus (2026): The mid-range flip model starts at $1,100 and has the same 4-inch edge-to-edge cover screen as the flagship Ultra model. The Snapdragon…
The Catholic ethicists even had a say in Anthropic’s recent update to Claude’s constitution, which sets the behavioral parameters for the company’s AI model. Olah sent a draft to the San Jose crowd. The pastor, McGuire, sent back a 28-page commentary which, by his own description, was less a technical critique than “wisdom from the mystics in the dark ages, from the perspective of the tension between knowing and not knowing.” Both Green and McGuire are credited in the constitution’s acknowledgements.Undoubtedly those conversations brought Olah to the attention of those secretly organizing the rollout of Leo’s encyclical. (I wasn’t able…
